WYRE DISTRICT ARCHERY COMPETITION

New Leaders Found

Its official! after the devastating news that all the Cub Leaders were leavening during the summer holidays, and after advertising in the local press for help. we are now starting the new term with a new Leader, and  If all go's to plan, we will also have a new Assistant Leader to help? One of the other thing we have done after the summer holidays, is to set up a parent helpers rota, which hopefully will attract more interest from the parents if nothing else. So after considering the prospect of having to close the Cub Pack, or at least restrict the numbers, things are looking better, thanks to the help of others outside of the Group.

Trophies for the event were kindly donated by Tithe barn Chapter 8446, Muriel, Alan and Ron. Thanks go to all those who attended especially Alan and Liz, Alan C and Muriel who gave up yet another week to Scouting, and to Geoffrey, the local farmer who allowed us to use his field for the event.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in our Christmas production on the 19th of December, the beavers were outstanding with their choral renditions.

And what can we say about the Cubs contributions, each and everyone who took part should be proud of themselves, and their Sixers, for putting on what only can be described as an outstanding contribution to the nights entertainment. Everyone who attended had nothing but praise for them. Well done your entertainers badge was well earned.

The Scouts production 'a game of ping-pong' was stupendous, leaving everyone who watched it with stomach pains from laughing. And their song 'we wish you a merry Christmas' sung by themselves and the audience was the crowning glory.

But not to be outdone Ron Chattington finished off the nights entertainment with a number of songs, that had everyone in the hall singing, and joining in with the actions.

Well-done everyone who took part, especially those who gained their entertainers badge, and not forgetting those who took, or renewed their promise, and a big thank you goes to all those who made it possible.

And to the people who were invited, but unable to attend, you missed a good nights entertainment.
